Governor's Cup ~ Semi-Finals

Ontario Academy 4 Fenwick ILL 1

OHA spots Fenwick a 1-0 lead in the opening period on a goal by Nick Giannotti and reels off four unanswered goals to gain a spot in the final 4-1.  Zach Tucker, Jon Drolet and Pierre Ouellette with a pair of goals lead the Mustangs to the Governor's Cup berth.

Culver Academy 4 Prairie Ridge 3 [OT]

Prairie Ridge opens up a 3-0 lead through two periods on goals by Zach Fanning, Pat Biewald and Mitch Mohr. The resilient Eagles of Culver rally with three goals over the final 5:30 of the 3rd period as Charles Salk scores a pair of goals including the game tying goal with 2:22 to go. Alec Johnston also scored for Culver. Salk completed the hat trick at 8:41 of overtime on a shot from the slot to give the Eagles a well earned berth in the finals

    Mustangs break open a tight 2-1 game with four unanswered goals in the 3rd period. Goaltender Zach Fortin stops a penalty shot and makes several key saves on a 5 on 3 power play to start the final period. Zack Tucker scores a goal and adds two assists and Cody McDermott adds three assists for OHA.

  Jonathon Gauger scores a hat trick and adds an assist and Nicholas Day chips in a goal and two assists as GBN breaks a 2-2 late in the 2nd period to defeat Peters.

  OHA races to a 5-0 lead thru 2 periods and cruises to a 7-1 win over Serra. Cody McDermott scores a pair of goals and Zack Tucker adds two assists for the Mustangs

Fenwick 5 McDowell 1

Fenwick opens up a 4-0 lead into the 3rd period and cruises to a 5-1 vicotry over McDowell. Paul O'Toole scores twice and adds an assist and Ian Murdoch scores a goal and adds two assists for the Friars.

The defending Governor's Cup champs HGP score with 4:18 as Brett Incollingo slips a puck past Culver's Nic Peterson. The game goes to a shootout and after 8 shooters, Firebird captain John Motto scores the decisive tally to give Ghost a thrilling 3-2 win.

Prairie Ridge 7 Mt Lebanon 1 

Prairie Ridge builds and 4-0 lead early in the 3rd period and cruises to a 7-1 win. Zach Fanning scores a shorthanded game winner and adds an assist for the Wolves while Kyle Pierce chips in two assists.
