Western Pa Hockey Highlights - This Week

Last Weeks Games
Meadville 2 Cathedral Prep 5 AA
Chris Coombs scored the first of his two goals in the first period and Matt Callaghan added a score in the second for the Ramblers. Those goals were matched by the Bulldogs' Cade Nickerson and Drew Finton in the second period. John Gordon and Tony Tebaldi added goals in the 3rd period with Coombs to break a 2-2 tie. 
Bethel Park  2 State College 4 AAA NO HIGHLIGHTS PROVIDED
Franklin Regional 3 Baldwin 4 AA Franklin Regional lost to Baldwin 4-3 . Lucas Chiala and Anthony Talamo gave FR a 2-0 lead after the 1st. Baldwin came back with three unanswered goals in the second period to take a 3-2 lead and Steve Shirk to tie the game at 3. Baldwin scored thirty seconds later to regain the lead 4-3 . Johnny Miller had three assists for the Panthers.

Hampton 2 Bishop McCort 3 A Dane Domonkos scores twice and Anthony Pioli adds a goal and Zach Barto tallies two assists for the Crimson Crushers
Upper St. Clair 7 North Hills 4 AAA NO HIGHLIGHTS PROVIDED
South Fayette 6 Sewickley Academy 6 A NO HIGHLIGHTS PROVIDED
Mars 13 Westmont Hilltop 0 A Robbie Sigurdsson scores three times as Mars blows out the Hilltoppers
Hampton 13 Beaver  1 A NO HIGHLIGHTS PROVIDED
North Allegheny 7 Fox Chapel 1 AAA Junior forward Ryan Worsena scored a goal and added two assists in the first period as the Tigers took a 4-1 lead.  Also scoring in 1st were Matt Ogle,Andrew Siess and Dalton Landman. Ryan Stupy, Joe Mammay and Joe Griffin rounded out the scoring for NA.

PA Hockey Top 25 2009- 2010

   Every Year Pa Hockey picks the top 25 Players in its annual list of players in Class AAA, AA and A. The List includes players we think make a difference on their team from their outstanding play throughout the season. We also include our top 5 Coaching Performances, top 5 Freshmen and the schools with the top 5 fans. Enjoy the list !

Western Pa Hockey Division Titles

 While Mr Freeze and the other Beneficiaries are worried about Outdoor Charity Games, Pa Hockey celebrates season long accomplishments and history with the Division Titles of all teams in CLass AAA, AA and A.

   Don't worry 'Concerned Citizens', those trophies are on order and will be presented at your banquet at the end of the season instead of on the ice when they occur. Just another fine service you don't get for the money you spend.

  AAA - Shaler wins 2nd Division Title in two years

         - Seneca Valley wins their 1st Division Title in School History

         - Upper St Clair Panthers win 2nd Division Crown in a Row

         - State College makes it 3 in a row in Class AAA

AA - Peters Township wins its 5th Division Title in 8 Years

         Latrobe captures its 4th Division Title in a Row

         Meadville wins its 6th Title in 10 Years  

         Canevin and West Allegheny share the Division Title

 A - The Mars Planets win thier 4th Division Title in a row and 7 in the past 11 years.

    - Serra Catholic makes it 10 Division Crowns in 11 Years

    - Kittanning wins its 5th Division Title in 10 Years and 14th Overall

    - Hampton wins their first Division crown since 1989 and 4th All Time
