IMPORTANT REMINDER

Posted by Roger Moss at Dec 12, 2010 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

December 8, 2010

Dear Parents,I wanted to inform you about a few things.1.      Tuesday, December 14th is PICTURE NIGHT.  We have forms if you didn’t get them to make the night go quicker.  Please have your child wear their uniform to pictures.  On this day McGee Middle School will have a home match at the K of C.  They will hopefully be done in time so we can begin practice but it might start late meaning we would have to adjust the picture times.a.      Times:                                                               i.      Monday/Wednesday 5:30-6:30 group at 5:30 PM on TUESDAY                                                            ii.      Monday/Wednesday 6:35-7:35 group at 6:00 PM on TUESDAY                                                          iii.      Tuesday/Thur 6:30-8:00 group at 6:15 PM on TUESDAY                                                           iv.      Tuesday/Thur 5:30-6:30 group at 6:35 PM on TUESDAY2.      Wednesday night we will be having a parents meeting at the K of C down stairs beginning at 6:15 PM for the early Wednesday Group and another meeting at 6:35 PM for the late group.  We will repeat this on Thursday for those older groups.  It is very important that one parent attends this meeting to hear information about our tournament and the role you will play in making this day successful. You can attend any meeting we just wanted to make it as easy as possible when dropping your child off.3.      Concession stand at McGee home matches.  If we have some parents willing to help run a small concession stand during McGee matches we can make about $100 a night.  We normally sell, hot dogs, chips, candy, coffee and drinks at our own matches and would do this for McGee matches.  I was also thinking of doing individual pizzas in the microwave we have as an added item that I think would be a big seller.  I would ask for help from McGee wrestler’s first as they can watch the match and work the concession stand and are there but would ask if any youth parents that are available at 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm on those days and is willing to help that would be great too!  We will need to run this during our matches too!

Interested In Coaching?

Posted by Roger Moss at Nov 12, 2010 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
Each year we have parents interested in volunteering to coach in the program.  In order to coach you must become certified, purchase a coaches card and have a background check completed by USA Wrestlings company TC logiQ.  We would ask that you also complete the volunteer coaching form attached here and return it to Head Coach Moss.
Here is what you will need:
2. Coaches Card from USA Wrestling, need to create an account and write down your membership number as you will need it for background check:
http://www.themat.com/usawrestling.org/membership.php
3. Background Screening: More information about this Colorado Springs based company is available on their website at www.TC logiQ.com.
Hope this helps.
