The five-team sectional begins with the two unranked squads — New Palestine (10-9) and Shelbyville (4-14). The Dragons defeated the Golden Bears, 55-38 on Dec. 11.

The winner moves on to face fifth-ranked Hamilton Heights (17-2). In the other semifinal, Rushville (13-6), the defending sectional champ, gets Mount Vernon (18-1). The Marauders have defeated all four teams in the sectional this season.

If Mount Vernon wins, it would have home-court advantage in the regional.
