The Girls Basketball Team traveled to Whiteland on Thursday night. The Golden Bears completed the from behind win by taking control of the game in overtime. The final score ended up at 69-65. The Bears put four players in double figures and was led by Kylee Edwards with 21 points. Ava Wilson had 15 points, Jaidyn Tackett pitched in 13 points, and Madison Phares had 11 points. The Bears move to 6-13 on the year and travel to Delta on Saturday.

The Girls Basketball Team welcomed Mt. Vernon to Garrett Gym on Saturday. The varsity was defeated to move to 5-12 on the year and was led in scoring by Jaidyn Tackett with 10 points. Kylee Edwards had 7 and Ava Wilson had 5 points for the Golden Bears. The JV Team defeated Mt. Vernon 34-24 to move to 7-9 on the year. Ella Johnson led the way with 15 points while Ava Mummert chipped in 8 points. Both teams travel to Whiteland on Thursday for a 6 pm JV tip.

The Lady Golden Bears Ran Their Record To (5-13 Overall And 1-5 In HHC Play) After Being Defeated By Mt. Vernon 51-30 Saturday Afternoon The Bears Was Led In Scoring By: Jaidyn Tackett 10, Kylee Edwards 7, Ava Wilson 5, Madison Bassett,& Megan Eads 3 Apiece, & Madison Phares 2. Mt. Vernon Was Led In Scoring By: Abby Worley 12, & Olivia Yeley 11. The Lady Bears Will Be Back In Action Thursday January,21st When They Travel To Take On Whiteland. JV Tip Is At 6 PM & Varsity Tip Is At 7:30 PM.

Shelbyville vs. Mt. Vernon Girls Basketball

The Girls Basketball Team traveled to Rushville on Tuesday night and was defeated. The Golden Bears scraped extremely hard and were led in scoring by Jaidyn Tackett with 13 points. Kylee Edwards added 12 points and Ava Wilson scored 6 points. The Girls are now 5-11 on the year. The JV Team was defeated in a very close game. The JV is now 6-9 on the year. Both Teams will host Mt. Vernon on Saturday with basketball starting at 1 pm.
