Athlete Spotlight

Name: Megan Eads

Granddaughter of: MIke Jester and Mary Eads

Megan has participated in girls basketball, track and field, and cross country at Shelbyville High School. Megan’s favorite TV show is The Goldberg’s, while she will never pass up watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as it is listed as her favorite movie. She enjoys eating Reese’s candy whenever possible. Megan’s favorite holiday is Christmas because of the time she gets to spend with her family. In her very little free time Megan enjoys going to basketball games with her grandpa, 4-H shooting sports, and going on a nice bike ride with friends. One of her favorite athletic moments is finding out she qualified for the state track meet her sophomore year. Megan holds the school record in the long jump. She also sighted hitting 6 3 pointers in a basketball game this year as another very memorable moment.

Kylee Edwards was named to the 2020-2021 Girls Basketball All-HHC Team last night by the HHC Coaches.

Kylee completed her sophomore season averaging 17.6 points, 2.3 asst., 5.3 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game while leading the Golden Bears to an 8-15 record and 2-5 in the HHC. She produced 20 plus points in ten games and had a high of 37 points. She also collected a high in rebounds of 13, while dishing out 6 asst. twice, and had 8 steals as a game high. Congrats Kylee on a tremendous year.

Shelbyville High School Senior Forward Paige Parsons was presented an IHSAA Sportsmanship Pin for her constant display of Sportsmanship throughout the season. Paige is a 5’9 senior forward with great character and respect for her school, team, teammates, and the game of basketball. Congrats and we are proud of you Paige.
