The Lady Bears Lost Their Seventh Game Of The Year To Columbus East Thursday Night At Garrett Gymnausium & Frank Barnes Court 72-36. The Lady Bears Was Led In Scoring By Eryn Hopper 10, Caitlin Mills & Kaylee Moore 6 apiece, Jordan Wise, Bailee Runnebohm, & Chelsea Weaver 4 apiece. Columbus East Was Led In Scoring By Jordan Ogle 21, Shannon VanHorn 13, & Alicia Hopkins 10. The Lady Bears Lost The JV Contest As Well 55-25. The Lady Bears Next Game Is Saturday December 13th When They Host New Palestine. JV Tip Is 11:30 AM, & Varsity Tip Is 1:00 PM.

In just two seasons since renewing its Shelby County rivalry with Shelbyville, the Southwestern girls' basketball team has embraced the chance to face its larger local competition.
The Lady Golden Bears Fall To 0-6 After Losing To Southwesten 56-41 Saturday Afternoon. the Bears Were Led In Scoring By Chelsea Weaver 15, Bailee Runnebohm 11, Eryn Hopper 10, Jordan Wise & Kaylee Moore 2 apiece, & Lesley Sammons 1. Southwestern Was Led In Scoring By Shelby McArthy 16. The JV Won 38-33. The Bears Will Be Back Home Thursday Night As They Host Columbus East Olympians JV Tip 6 PM & Varsity Tip 7:30 PM.

Playing a smaller Shelby County school in any sport is always a tricky proposition for Shelbyville.
After a particularly poor performance Saturday afternoon, Shelbyville girls' basketball coach Stacie Cepin had a little heart-to-heart with her team Monday.
