Freshman Gretchen Haehl lead the Bears with 16 points shooting 4 of 8 three pointers. The Bears led 17 to 14 with 5 min to go in the 2nd quarter, then went on a 16 -2 run to end the half at 33-16 margin. The Bears then opened the third quarter with a 17 - 2 run and it was over. Bears go 6-0 and host New Palestine Saturday

• SHELBYVILLE 81, GREENFIELD CENTRAL 44 -- The 3A No. 8 Golden Bears had all players score in a 37-point triumph over the visiting Cougars.
The Golden Bears jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Sarah Laird led the Golden Bears (5-0) attack with a game-high 18 points including nine in the third quarter. Also, Susan Colls came off the bench to score 13.
The Cougars (2-3) were led by Ellen Hamilton's 17 points.

Varsity:
The Lady Bears had the first game jitters early by falling behind in the first quarter 17-11. Then Susan Kolls sparked the Bears off the bench to a lead at half 25-24. The Bears owned the third quarter building
a 44-32 lead and coasted to the final score of 68-55. Leading scorers for the home team was Sarah Laird with 16 and Susan Kolls with 15. The Bears showed their depth and balance with eleven players seeing action and the scoring rounded out as follows: Jenni Ross 11, Ashley Matney 7, Gretchen Haehl 10, Haley Wise 4, Gwen Haehl 3, and Ashley Coy 2
All-Star candidate and Western Ky bound Sarah Riedeman had 22 for Greensburg.
JV:
Lady Bears win 48-23 with leading scorers Haley Wise (14 pts)and Katie Jackson (11 pts) playing agressively at both ends of the floor. Other scorers include: Horner 10,
