Shelbyville mauls Yellow Jackets

The Lady Golden Bears win big over the Morristown Yellow Jackets 59-15.The game had 12 jumpballs in it. The bears led from start to finish 19-2after one, 29-4 at halftime, 48-12 after three,and the final 59-15. The bears wasled in scoring by Kelli Haehl 12, Dana Gardner 10, Ashley Ayers and LeAnn Douglas 8 apiece, Julie Snuffer 6, Katie kolls, Sarah Wheeler,and Chelsea Weaver 4 apiece, Laura John 2, and Bailee Runnebohm 1. Morristown was led in scoring by Melissa Tillison 6. The bears next game is Saturday December 16th at home against Hamilton Southeastern JV tip is 11am Varsity tip is 12:30pm.

If pure aggression won basketball games, the New Palestine girls, team could be 6-1 on the season- instead of 1-6- and it might have defeated Shelbyville Saturday.
The Lady Golden Bears move their season record to(6-2 overall & a perfect 4-0 in HHC play) after defeating New Palestine 49-38 Saturday Evening New Palestine led after one 15-8, and 24-20 at halftime, the bears down 32-31 Julie Snuffer sank two fre throws with no time left to give the bears a 33-32 lead after three, the bears went on tear in the fourth outscoring New Palestine 16-6. Chelsea Parks won WKWH player of the game. The Bears were led in scoring by Kelli Haehl 11, Dana Gardner 10, Leann Douglas 9, Chelsea Parks 8, Ashley Ayers and Julie Snuffer 4 apiece, and Laura John 2. New Palestine was led in scoring by Katie Tamarri 12. Shelbyville will be back in action Tuesday Night when they travel to Morristown. Morristown does not have a JV team so there will only be a varsity contest start time is 6p.m. P.S. The Game Between the Lady Bears & Bloomington North has been postphoned from December 20th to January 2nd 2007 JV tip is 3p.m. Varsity tip is 4:30p.m.
