Bears thump Radford College

The lady golden bears win big to open the 2006 Shelby Shootout 71-33 over Radford College Thursday night the bears led 16-5 after one,increased the lead to 22 38-16 at halftime, increased the lead to 35 61-26 after three,and won by 38 71-33. the bears was led in scoring by: Ashley Ayers & LeAnn Douglas 13 apiece, Chelsea Weaver 11, Kelli Haehl 8,Dana Gardner 7, Sarah Wheeler & Julie Snuffer 6 apiece, Chelesa Parks 5, & Melanie Clark 2. Radford College was led in scoring by: Alice Coddington 19. Shelbyville will play Roncalli in the second round of the shelby shootout Tommorrow Night tipoff is at 6pm.

WHITELAND-- Earlierin the day, the Indiana High School Athletic Association reclassified 39 high schools into new divisions for four sports including basketball beginning in the fall of 2007.

Bears win big at Whiteland

The Lady Golden Bears came away with a convincing 66-44 victory over the Whiteland Warriors Friday Night it Harry Larrabee 1st game back since the Columbus East game. The bears led at all stops:16-5 after one, 34-21 at halftime including a three pointer from 3/4 court by LeAnn Douglas that hit nothing but net, 54-33 after three, and the final66-44. The bears was led in scoring by WKWH player of the game LeAnn Douglas 15, Dana Gardner and Julie Snuffer 10 apiece, Ashley Ayers and Chelesa Parks 8 apiece, Chelsea Weaver 3, and Kelli Haehl 2. Whiteland was led in scoring by Amy Orender 19. Shelbyville is off until Thursday December 28th, 29th, and 30th the shelby shootout when they take on the Austraia team December 28th, Roncalli December 29th, and Rushville December 30th all games tipoff at 6pm. Royals' defense in top form verus Bears

Two days before they started finals week at school, the Shelbyville girls, basketball team got educated on the basketball court.
The Lady Bears Lose their third game of the season Saturday afternoon to Hamilton Southeastern 52-34.The lady Bears are without starter Sarah Wheeler do to a heart condition until further notice our thoughts and prayers go out to Sarah and her family. The bears was led in scoring by Julie Snuffer 9, Ashley Ayers 8, LeAnn Doughlas 5, Dana Gardner 4, Chelesa Parks, Laura John, Melanie Clark, and Kelli Haehl all with 2 apiece. Hamilton Southeastearn was led in scoring by Paige Smith 16. The bears will will be in action next Friday night at Whiteland the final game till after Christmas JV tip is 6pm & varsity tip is 7:30pm.
