Heroic effort stuns Bears

Following Shelbyville's 56-51 overtime loss to Columbus East in the Sectional 14 championship Saturday, the only thing that hurt more than the Golden Bears, emotions was Shelby Ross' right foot.

SHS earns rematch with east

Shelbyville took care of business in thesectional semifinals Friday. Now it will try and take care of Columbus East.
The Lady Golden Bears bow out of tournament Saturday Night To Columbus East 56-51 in overtime the five seniors played their final game at Garrett Gymnausium They will recieve a copy of the game from the head webmaster. It was a very well played game the score was 12-10 east after one both teams scored 9 points in the second the score was 21-19 at halftime it was shelbyville in the third outscoring east 15-8 to lead 34-29 east outscored shelby 18-13 to tie the game at 47 after regulation in the overtime east outscored shelby 9-4. The Lady Bears finish their season with a record of 18-5. The bears was led in scoring by: Ashley Ayers 13, LeAnn Douglas and Dana Gardner 12 apiece, Julie Snuffer 7, Kelli Haehl 5, and Chelesa Parks 2. Columbus East was led in scoring by: Bethlynn Reed 15. LeAnn Douglas Ashley Ayers Julie Snuffer Chelesa Parks Dana Gardner You five seniors will be missed next season but not forgotten you ladies have given me memories that can not be taken away. Shelbyville defeats East Central

The Lady Golden Bears move their record to 18-4 and avance to sectional championship game after defeating the East Central Trojans 68-41 Friday night in the second game of the evening. Columbus East defeated Bloomington North 53-51 in the opener. All five seniors recieved a copy of senior night given to them from the head webmaster. Leann Douglas was named WKWH player of the game. The bears was led in scoring by: Leann Douglas 14, Julie Snuffer 11, Kelli Haehl 10, Dana Gardner 6, Melanie Clark 5,Bailee Runnebohm, Chelesa Parks, and Kylee Zamudio 4 apiece. East Central was led in scoring by: Kallen Hovland 12. Doors open at 6:30pm tipoff is at 7:30.

Bears assure win for Senior Night

Business is about the pickup. So Shelbyville closed out the regular season with a businesslike performance against the Franklin Grizzly Cubs.
