COLUMBUS--- After a successful junior season as a role player for the Shelbyville girls' basketball team, Kelli Haehl was expected to become the focus of the offense this year after graduation took its toll on the program.

Lady Bears lose to # 14 Columbus East

The lady Golden Bears lose To Columbus East 64-43 Thursday at the Orange Pit. The Lady bears got as close as 10 points at 44-34. The Lady Bears was led in scoring by Kelli Haehl 14, Melanie Clark 12, Bailee Runnebohm 7, Kaitlan Hudson 4, Chelsea Weaver, & Caitlan Mills 2 apiece, Lesley Sammons, & Kate Kolls 1 apiece. Columbus East was led in scoring by Jordan Ogle 20. The lady Bears next game is Saturday at New Palestine JV tipoff is 6 PM. Varsity tippoff is 7:30 PM.

GREENFIELD--- The Shelbyville girls' basketball team played its best eight minutes of the season, then fall into a familiar pattern against Greenfield - Central Tuesday.

T lady Bears suffer thier 4th straight los s at greenfield tuesday night 71-39 that moves thier record to(1-4 overall & 1-2 in the HHC).The Bears was led in scoring by Chelesa Weaver 14, Kaitilan Hudson 6, Melanie Clark 5,Sarah Carlson, Bailee Runnebohm, & Kate Kolls 4 apiece, & Kelli Haehl 2. Greenfield-Central was led in scoring by Jordan Lewis 16, &Macey Anderson 14. The JV Team lost 39-11. The Lady Bears are off until December 6th when they take on Columbus East JV tipoff is 6 PM. & Varsity tipoff is 7:30 PM.
