Martella's Pharmacy defeated New Orleans 3-2 in to claim the AAABA National Championship on Saturday at Point Stadium. A crowd of over 5,000 witnessed history as Martella's became the first team from Johnstown in the 74 year history of the tournament to win the title.

New Orleans loaded the bases and were down one run in the top of the ninth with two outs. Alex Galy worked a 3-2 count. TJ Adams delivered the payoff pitch and blew a fastball past Galy to give Martella's the historic win.

Brady Walker earned the win, allowing two runs and striking out five in 8 2/3 innings of work. TJ Adams picked up the save, working the final out of the game. Chris Turpin took the loss for New Orleans.

Martella's scored all the runs they would need with a three run second inning. Jonny Kutchman led off with a single and TJ Adams was hit by a pitch. George Coyle singled to load the bases. Ty Diehl singled into shallow right field to plate the first run. Boston Bradley drove a single to left field to make it 2-0. Andrew Walker's ground out plated the third run of the inning.
