LVLBL Information Schedule

Following is the list of information the league will require/will discuss during the course of any calendar year. This will enable you to make sure all your information has been turned in on time. Coaches and Representatives are also required to read and understand the By-Laws and Rules of the LVLBL, and they are responsible for any information which may not be listed on this schedule.

2006 PROPOSED BY-LAW CHANGES

The following By-Law changes have passed and will be incorporated into the 2006 Bylaws & Constitution. 3.2 Number of Organizations (Remove first sentence from this article) Membership in the league shall be limited to teams outside the city limits of Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton. A new organization (entering after Feb.1996) must enter at least two participating teams each year in two of the three conferences, preferably entering a participating team in each playing conference. The league will be limited to 23 organizations. 3.2.1 (New) Any New organization (entering after January 2006) must supply a letter stating proof of field(s) availability. This proof must be from the organization’s, city, borough, township, county, school district, etc. The field then must be inspected by an LVLBL Officer and the Umpire Assignor to see if field(s) will be approved for play. Failure to provide this information or false information will result in termination from the league. 3.2.2 (New) Any new organization (entering after January 2006), will be subject to a three (3) year probation period. Failure to abide by the rules and Constitution of the LVLBL will result in termination of membership. 5.2.1 (Replace with) All changes prior to roster night must be approved by the Webmaster and then reported by both teams to the Umpire Assignor and scorekeeper. 5.2.2. (Replace with) Request for changes after roster night must be approved by a unanimous vote by the Executive Board. Failure to get approval will result in forfeiture of game to both teams involved. 9.2.1 In the event of a vacant office and no member/organization is willing to assume the duties and responsibilities of the vacant office for the term of said office, a rotation from the board of governors will be as follows: 1-19 1) Schnecksville 2) Fullerton 3) N.Lehigh 4) S. Parkland 5) Hokendauqua 6) L. Nazareth 7) Schadt Ave. 8) Coplay 9) N. Parkland 10) Northampton 11) Salisbury 12) Lehigh Twp.13) PYC 14) L. Macungie 15) Emmaus 16) Catasauqua 17) N.Western 18) Freemansburg 19) Bath-E-Allen 9.2.4 (New) Failure to abide by this rotation will result in suspension from the league, until such commitment is fulfilled. 12.4.3 Delete this bylaw. Contradicts by-law 18.12. 13.1.1 Biddy Any player who does not reach the 11th birthday prior to May 1st of the current year. 13.1.1 Midget Any player who does not reach the 13th birthday prior to May 1st of the current year. 3.1.1 Knee Hi Any player who does not reach the 15th birthday prior to May 1st of the current year 13.9 (Replace with) An LVLBL Team may participate in a league sanctioned tournament of 90 ft. bases or less. A tournament to be league sanctioned must be brought up to the membership at a scheduled league meeting. It must pass by a majority vote of the Membership. Any Player rostered on LVLBL team that participates in a non-sanctioned tournament will be considered ineligible for the current playing season. 13.9.1 A LVLBL player may be rostered on a Connie Mack, Babe Ruth, Junior Legion or Legion baseball team, but may not participate in any games with that team during the LVLBL season. 13.9.2 Once a player has been rostered on a Varsity, Junior Varsity, and/or has played on a Legion, Junior Legion, Connie Mack or Babe Ruth team, he/she will be ineligible to play in the LVLBL for the current playing season. 14.5 A courtest runner may be used for the catcher only when there are two (2) outs in the inning. The courtesy runner must be a player not currently in the game. 16.9 (New) The umpire assignor will call a meeting with all umpires and discuss rules and rule changes prior to the start of each new season. Failure to call a meeting will result in a fine set by the Executive Board. 16.7 The umpire assignor and webmaster will be reviewed on a year-by-year basis by the Executive Board to determine if his/her duties will be renewed. The Executive Board will be responsible to make all final decisions on the umpire assignor and webmaster. 18.11 In case of darkness, the decision to stop the game will be entirely up to the umpire in chief. The umpire in chief is the home plate umpire. The following change failed to passed at the December meeting, and will not be in the 2006 By-laws & Constitution: 13.10 A player who lives in an area not served by an active Organization for his/her age group will sign a contract to play for an Organization which is closest to his/her residence, and if possible within his/her school district, that does field an active team in his/her age group.

Congratulations to our 2005 Playoff Champions: Biddy - Northampton Midget - South Parkland Red Knee-Hi - Salisbury We thank all of the players for making this such a special season for the League! We also extend our appreciation to the coaches, representatives, and umpires, for making this a season to remember. Enjoy the rest of your summer and fall! We will see you again in 2005!
