The Jaguars JV finished their 19th Season and final season in 2014. The finished with a 2-6 record to end up 49-43 in the 10 seasons that the JV Division had Championships. In the 2013 season they made their 5th playoff appearance and advanced to the Championship game. It was not to be as they finished runner up to the Brunswick Jets JV by a score of 21-0. During the last few years they had fielded smaller and less experienced squads, but that is ultimately what the JV Division is all about, learning the fundamentals of football. In 2009 they won their only championship under Coach Eric Keller and were able to hoist the Championship Trophy in November!

They sent many players on to the Varsity Jaguars each season, which gave the Varsity the chance to compete in the playoffs and a championship each season. The JV Division contains only two age groups, players who are 9 & 10 years old. Age is determined by the player's age as of July 31st.

Jags Close Out 19 Seasons

Posted by Dave Rea at Oct 27, 2014 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The Jaguars JV Squad brought down the curtain on 19 Seasons of play on Saturday 18th at Buckeye High School with a loss to the Brunswick Chargers 19-12. In the nineteen years they had seven Head Coaches, Doug Peyton, Tim Roskey, Dave Kargle, Eric Keller, Kevin Capela, Bob Chegan and Jon Stahl. During the 10 Seasons that the JV Division played for Championships they compiled a 49-43 All Time record, made 5 consecutive Playoff Appearances and won one Championship. Thanks to all the coaches, players and parents who were part of the JV Squad during the last 19 years, it was a great ride! We ended this era here in 2014 and will begin a new era next season during the 20th Anniversary of the Buckeye Youth Football Association and rename all of our teams the Bucks so they can identify with the Junior High and High School teams. Farewell to the Jags and Let's Go Bucks!! image

Jags Make The Championship Game But Finish Second

Posted by Dave Rea at Jun 15, 2014 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The Jaguars JV squad defeated the Titans JV by a score of 13-12 at Brunswick Stadium on Saturday afternoon to advance to the Championship game. This will be the second time the JV Jags have made the game. The other time was 5 years ago in 2009. The opponent this time is the same as last time the Brunswick Jets JV squad.

These two teams have met up many times but the Jets hold the advantage having won 12 times to the Jaguars 3rd. The Jaguars claimed the title in 2009 and since then the Jets have won 3 in a row. The Jaguars will bring in their 8-2 record, while the Jets have an unblemished 10-0 slate, so this should be a good one.

The Jags finished as the 2013 JV Division Runnerup as they lost to the Brunswick Jets 21-0. The Jags finished at 8-3 overall and the Jets went a perfect 12-0 on the season. They had a good season starting a little slow out of the gate and then finished strong. GO JAGS!!
