The Mavericks made it two wins on the season with a 7-3 victory over visiting San Pasqual.  Cory Soto started on the mound for the Mavericks going three innings and allowing three runs.  Soto was relieved by Jacob Raffaele who was able to shut down San Pasqual for the remainder of the game to earn his first varsity win.  Offensively the Mavericks were sluggish at plate until Danny Bethea's great at bat.  With two on in the fourth Bethea battled the count full seeing 12 pitches.  On the 13 pitch he laced a triple into the right center gap scoring two.  That sparked the Mavericks as they went on to score four in the fifth and one in the sixth for the victory.
