Mavs take Orange Glen in mismatch

La Costa scored 16 runs in the first 4 innings to bury Orange Glenn, 17-1 at home. Jake Raffaele started for the Mavs and got the win. David Brown, Jake Webb and Cody Parks each pitched a shutout relief inning. The starters left the game after the 3rd inning. Chris Doyle had a nice RBI triple and Justin Graeber went 3 for 3 with a double to right center.

LCC CAME OUT HOT IN VALLEY CENTER

With 13 hits and 13 base on balls, our JV's poured on the heat to Valley Center and won 15-1. Our two freshman pitchers (Evan Schrieber and Jake Schulz) combined for 6 innings with only one run and one hit and a total of 8 strikeouts!!! Connor Lievers came in to close the game and struck out the side. Jason Curtis went 3-4; Matt Hall hit another home run with 2 RBI's; Tanner Coleman went 2 for 2 with 1 RBI as did Kamden Haglund. Chad Jensen had 4 RBI's.

Keep the bats hot and the defense tight! Great job JV...

FRESHMAN WIN BIG AGAINST VALLEY CENTER 14-2

The freshman record went 4-2 after beating Valley Center 14-2 on Wednesday. What started out as a low-scoring game, ended up a blow-out. Jason Guendert was the starting pitcher and pitched five innings holding Valley Center to 2 runs, one earned, and getting the win. Dillon Thomison pitched the sixth innning in relief allowing 0 runs and Nick McAdoo closed the game getting the save, allowing 0 runs. LCC woke up and unleashed the hitters in the last few innings on 15 hits, including Robby Schupp's 3 hits and 2 RBI's, Zach Armstrong's 3 RBI's and Kenyon Lyon's triple that accounted for 3 RBI's.
