Rancho Bernardo Blanks Mavs 3-0

The Ice cold bats ran even colder today as the RB pitching shut down the Mavericks.  The boys managed only three hits by Hinkle, Armstrong and Corica.  The Maverick pitchers, Hinkle (4 innings, 2 earned runs) and Thomison (2 innings 1 earned run) pitched well enough to win, but the JV squad couldn't get anything going offensively.

Scripps Ranch downs Mavs

The Mavericks just couldn't get the bats going in this game.  The Falcon Junior hurler kept the Mavs off balance all day scattering four hits by Martin,Michels,Hinkle and Healy.  The holes were found by the opposition however with the Falcons plating 6 runs on six hits.

Michael Kenney - 1st Maverick to Pitch in the Major Leagues

On Friday Michael Kenney became the first Maverick to pitch in the Major Leagues.  He threw against the Chicago White Sox in a spring training game.
