Kyle Goss is a Morristown High school Alumni (2011).
While at Morristown Coach Goss played four years under the previous Head Coach Jeff Bigas.
After high school Coach Goss went on to play at Salisbury University. At Salisbury Goss played four years, playing both midfield and attack and was a member of the 2012 National Championship team.
He was selected to the CAA Conference all academic team all four years.
After graduation Coach Goss returned to Morristown to teach history and coach Lacrosse and Wrestling which he has been doing for the past three years.
Michael Purdy is a Science teacher at Suffern High School.
He is a Long Island transplant that played lacrosse at Rutgers University. His passion for lacrosse continued post-Rutgers through coaching.
He coached lacrosse at Suffern for 14 years. There he guided his team to be Rockland County Champions for two consecutive years. This play off system was started the last two years before he stepped away for his family.
When he’s not in the classroom or on the field, he is with his family and trying to perfect the art of BBQ.
John grew up on Long Island and was a heavily recruited high school goaltender.
He graduated from Johns Hopkins, where he was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team from 1982 to 1986. The Blue Jays reached the championship game in each of those years, winning the national title in 84 and 85. Coached by hall of fame legends Henry Ciccarone and Don Zimmerman, he was warmed up daily by then assistant coach Bill Tierney, a Princeton and Denver legend.
John played back up to first team All-America and Tewaaraton Legends award winner, Larry Quinn, who now helps coach the Blue Jays along with Head Coach Dave Pietramala, who’s another one of John’s former team mates.This is John’s third tour with the Colonials. He coached with Ray Discolo from 1997 to 2003 and with Jeff Bigas from 2007 to 2012. John coached and taught head coach Kyle Goss.
