Juilliard-Nord Anglia Trio Composition Project
We are delighted to announce that the middle school string orchestra has been invited to take part in an upcoming Juilliard-Nord Anglia Trio Composition Project. Only five of the schools in the Nord Anglia Education family of schools have been chosen to take part. The project will begin in January and will finish in April. During that time our students under the direction of Middle School Music Teacher, Tim Hainsworth, will liaise with a specifically appointed Juilliard teaching artist to work through the process of composing for a trio. One of our students’ pieces will be considered for a performance and recording by Juilliard musicians in New York. We look forward to seeing our students work with professional musician and Juilliard teaching artist, Jessica Meyer, a wonderful performing violist, composer, and educator. We are thrilled that our students will work with Jessica and excited to hear the results.
