Our High School Dance Students are already creating! Choreography/Performance students worked on “Making A Source Phrase” based on characteristics of themselves exploring dance elements such as speed, level, scale, and physical tension. As choreographers, do our movement choices clearly communicate our intention?

This year our WPS Lakerettes Dance Team will begin regular ballet classes with Ms. Andrea Faria! This will help the dancers to improve upon their technique and give them a deeper appreciation for the art of dance. While the Lakerettes compete in both Jazz and Pom; ballet is an important building block of dance. The work they are doing will help to strengthen their skills and hone their awareness of their bodies. We look forward to where this will take our Lakerettes as we get ready for competition season! It was a wonderful first day of school. Our Lower School students are already creating in their classrooms. We look forward to seeing our middle school and high school students on campus tomorrow and continuing to work with our students learning through Campus Connect!
