Our High School musicians gave a spectacular performance at Lifebridge Church on Wednesday, December 13. The concert featured the Wind Ensemble, Laker Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Wren 5, and the Windermere Singers.

Over 40 private piano lesson students played in the First Annual WPS Winter Piano Recital. Students of Heidi R. Larson and Ann Thorsen-Moran ranged in age from Pre-K 4 to High School Juniors, representing beginner to advanced levels of musicians. It was a packed house as each student earned a trophy for their performance and progress this semester.

Art Basel is an elite international art exhibition held annually in Miami, Florida, Hong Kong, and Basel, Switzerland. The event showcased paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and other contemporary works from around the globe and takes over the South Beach area with additional exhibitions such as Scope and Untitled, and Miami Design. South Beach becomes a who’s who of the art world including the artists, dealers, celebrities, gallery and museum owners all buying, selling and photographing high end works. Andy and Bill were able to talk to countless artists and their representatives and spend time analyzing work by top contemporary artists as well as the classic works of Matisse, Picasso, Haring, Miro, Basquiat, and Warhol.

The Middle School Music Department performed a variety of classical and holiday music on Thursday, May 7. Congratulations to all musicians!
