Saanich Midget C2 completed their season with a Gold Medal at the 2018 Cowichan Valley Memorial Tournament. They finished the fifteen team tournament with a perfect 6 and 0 record by defeating the home town Cowichan Valley C1’s in a thrilling championship final. In the spirit of this memorial tournament, awards dedicated to the memory of Cowichan Valley youth hockey players who left us too early were handed out. The “Ryan Clark Goalie MVP” was awarded to the C2 goalie tandem of Qaseem Ramji and Sebastian Broad, both of whom shared every game. Both are the Number 1 goalies. The “Zak Andrews – Mr Personality Award” went to Ben Scott.

Saanich Midget C2 overcame adversity to beat arch-nemesis Juan de Fuca C1, 6 to 2, for the VIAHA South Island Midget C, A – Pool Championship.
