Lake Erie Defenders is an AAU basketball program located in Northeast Ohio. We were established in 2009 with one team and now have expanded to 12 teams and growing on both the boys and girls side. Our teams range from 4th grade – Varsity. We have a proven track record with our teams excelling during AAU. We practice 2 times a week working on fundamentals and attention to details. We are all about “TEAM PLAY”. We teach our players to value every possession, be disciplined, do not take any plays off and DO WORK!!!. Our goal is develop your child and prepare them for school ball and college basketball if they decide they want to play college basketball.

We currently have players that drive up to an hour to practice with us 2 times a week from the Youngstown, Cleveland and Twinsburg areas. They chose to drive that far because being a part of the Defender Family you are not just a number, but someone we personally want to help develop and see them excel with their school team.

Our 2017 season will begin towards the end of February and will go to early May. For those that want to continue past early May we will play tournaments until Mid June. High school age players will have opportunities to play in the Summer Showcase Tournaments in July. This is one of the College open periods where college coaches from all levels can scout games.
