Due to school activities, we’ve lost Crothers for the first week as well as on February 14th. On these evenings, one division will have to sit out while the other two divisions will play shortened games. On October 4th, Champions will sit out while on February 14th, Elite will sit out . If there are any future cancellations, it will be Masters that will be affected. With the cancellations being at Crothers, only Masters is able to squeeze in enough games at Bur Oak to keep things on track .

The rules for these shortened games in Elite and Champions are:
1) 45 minute game
2) no halftime, no stoptime, no overtime
3) one time out per team
4) If a game starts late, that time is taken off the game time.

CAPTAINS: PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR GAME SHEETS WHILE THE GAME BEFORE YOU IS STILL IN PROGRESS. THIS WILL LESSEN THE CHANCE OF YOUR GAME BEING SHORTENED
The league consists of three divisions -Elite, Champions and Masters.
The Elite Division is an open age group for players 19+ and has the highest calibre of play. The Champions Division is also an open age group for players 19+. The Masters Division is for those players that are 48+.
Registration for an upcoming season starts at the end of August and closes in mid September. Evaluation nights for new players is usually held on the last two Wednesdays of September and all players attending these evenings must be registered. Captains will then hold a draft after the evaluations are completed and in that way the teams are formed. Your new captain will inform you which team you are on.
There are no team entries. Teams are redrafted every year so entry is on an individual basis. All returning players that have registered by the posted deadline will be guaranteed placement on a team. New players will be drafted based on their evaluation night performance.
Regular season games are played on Wednesday evenings starting in October and ending in mid April. We have four gyms in three locations. An upper and lower gym at Bill Crothers Secondary School and double gyms at both Markham District High School and Bur Oak Secondary School. All games are officiated by carded referees. Schedules, standings and stats are posted online. Playoffs start at the end of March and are completed by mid April.
