When arriving to Derby High … you can park within the school lot and walk down a LARGE staircase, or drive past the school and park on the street when you reach the football complex.

Parents please make sure all kids have bug spray on while practicing outside

We play away in Derby this Sunday 9/28. The game time was pushed back a bit due to referee availability.

Cheerleaders arrive at 1:30pm Full uniform, bodyliner optional, white leather sneakers, now show socks, hair in high pony with GAME BOW.

Kick off is at 2:30p

PRESALE TICKETS are available now! It is $20 per ticket for each comp presale, if you buy at the door, it will be $25. CASH ONLY! hand money into Coach Sade by dress rehearsal!!

First competition of the season is on Saturday 10/5 at the Fieldhouse in New Haven (480 Sherman Parkway). Athletes need to arrive by 845am. Look for your coaches at the athlete entrance. Cheerleaders should be in FULL UNIFORM when you drop them off to us (skirt and shell, body liner, boy shorts, white no show socks, cheer sneakers, hair in a high bun with comp bow). NO JEWELRY OR NAIL POLISH!! Please take off all jewelry before comp as coaches are not responsible for lost items. Make sure your athlete has eaten something prior to drop off. Please wear warm up jacket over uniforms (or a zip up/button up in team colors). You may send a water, but please avoid large bags and extra items as the girls will be responsible to carry their belongings.

Coaches will be with the girls at the entrance and will remain with them until we perform. We are scheduled to take the mat at 1134pm. Once the girls perform, we will head to the concession area and parents can meet up with their child. You may take your child to enjoy some snacks/shopping, but we ask that you meet back up with us at concession area for 1245p so we can head to awards as a team.

There are photographers at States and locals who provide photos of the teams performance. We need $20 from each athlete to get a photo CD from both competitions. To purchase individual photos from the vendor on comp day is significantly more expensive. Please hand money into Coach Sade prior to competition. The entire team must participate for us to receive this price.

Our second competition is on 10/12 at the same location. I do not have a report time yet, but, rumor is we are in the morning session again.

By now you may have heard that we have limited competition at the local level. I am not disclosing any details about who we are against with the girls at this point in time and would ask the same of the parents. They are very excited and motivated to do well and I do not want them to get complacent or feel discouraged. Please begin planning for Regionals. We sent out hotel information (though it is not mandatory to stay over). I will not know the date or time of Regionals until we are much closer. As of now, we will have competition at the Regional level.
