Hello!
I received a makeup question this morning so I wanted to reach out!
Make up is not required as there are no stage lights …. natural age appropriate makeup is allowed. If you choose to put makeup on your cheerleader, keep in mind how often they touch their faces.

Some parents have asked about when to “call back” in response to our cheer … crowd participation helps our score! Here is our cheer with call backs in bold!
They say, “Naugy Hounds, in the house! Yell, go, big, grey!”
You call back, “GO, BIG, GREY!”
They say, “Naugy Hounds, in the house! Yell, fight, garnet, fight!”
You call back, “FIGHT, GARNET, FIGHT!”
They say, “C’mon crowd let hear you shout, yell, Go Big Grey! (-clap-) Fight Garnet Fight!”
Cheerleader yells, “Lets hear it!”
You say, “GO BIG GREY!! (-clap-) FIGHT GARNET FIGHT!!”

I am so excited for competition this weekend! Just some reminders!
Parents – Wear your garnet and grey! Make signs! Have fun!
Saturday 10/5 at the Fieldhouse in New Haven (480 Sherman Parkway)
Athletes need to arrive by 845am. Look for your coaches at the athlete entranceCheerleaders should be in FULL UNIFORM when you drop them off to us (skirt and shell, body liner, boy shorts, white no show socks, cheer sneakers, hair in a high bun with comp bow). We do not have any extra competition bows available.
NO JEWELRY OR NAIL POLISH!! Please take off all jewelry before comp as coaches are not responsible for lost items. Make sure your athlete has eaten something prior to drop off. Please wear warm up jacket over uniforms (or a zip up/button up in team colors). Send a water with their name on it, but please avoid large bags and extra items as the girls will be responsible to carry their belongings.Coaches will be with the girls at the entrance and will remain with them until we perform. We are scheduled to take the mat at 1134pm. Once the girls perform, we will head to the concession area and parents can meet up with their child. You may take your child to enjoy some snacks/shopping, but we ask that you meet back up with us at concession area for 1245p so we can head to awards as a team.
Admission is $25 CASH ONLY at the door. There will be vendors and merchandise for sale and a 50/50 raffle.
If you haven’t handed in your CD money yet, please hand it in when you drop your athlete off to us Saturday.
All football practices are canceled tonight due to weather.
BOD meeting will still take place at 8:30 at the Armory.

Just a few friendly reminders for the next few days….
We have practice scheduled tomorrow Wednesday, October 2nd from 6:15-8:15 pm at the Armory.
We also have a Spirit day & hair bun practice Thursday, October 3rd from 6:15-8:15pm at the Armory. Please have the girls wear their NAUGY PRIDE & their hair in a bun like it were competitions. This way we can go over the correct placement of the bun & bow. The girls are not to wear their competition bow to practice! We do not have enough time on Saturday morning to correct everyone’s hair before we hit the mat.
- I have (6) brand new bun inserts if anyone is looking for them. They’re $1 a piece see me if interested!
**Please have the girls bring their competition shoes to practice, they need to be practicing in them from here on out!
Last but not least- CD money. $20 covers both competitions. You will receive a CD of all photos taken both days of competitions. We need every parent to pay $20 or we don’t receive this group rate. Please bring your money no later than Saturday morning!
