Year End

Posted by Admin at Nov 9, 2014 5:53AM PST ( 0 Comments )

Please remember to respond to Tim Shull concerning your attendance to our year end banquet on Nov 17.

Congratulations to both the girls and boys teams for excellent seasons. The girls were runners up at the county meet and Pelion Invitational as well as region Champions. Chapin girls have won every region meet since we began region competition ! The girls were 4th at State- the 28 consecutive top 10 finish by the girls adding to their state record for consecutive top 10 finishes.
The boys rebounded from last years failure to make state ( a first for Chapin) with a strong 8th place finish at State with all runners running their best time of the year on the State Course. The boys won the region title and set many personal best times for the year.
Kieran Schuerllete was named most valuable runner for the region and Alexa Golbus was named All State at the state meet. Great year for both teams!!

Many athletes have indicated that they plan to run in the Junior Olympics Qualifier on Nov 22. I will be at the Chapin High School Track on Weds of this week and Monday of next week to work with any athlete who wants to do some interval workouts in preparation for the qualifiers. Time is 4:15. I would recommend taking a couple of days off if you ran state then resume you mileage base running.

Coach Hines and I want to thank you parents for all of you help this year- what a great supportive group of parents we have!
