80s Up 2023 Inductees Rock On!
Congratulations to CSSA’s newest inductees in the Eighties Up Club! On Wednesday, May 24th, a big crowd assembled to honor our newest members of this intrepid group. Randy Bergman served as emcee and proudly presented all new inductees with new personalized “soft bags” for their gear. Here’s the list of honorees: Ron Swift, Norm Foust, Lew Bender, Archie Vaughn, Ron Wootten, Carl Popham, Ron Backman, Jim Chesser, Jack Kitchen and Sam Clemons. Jack Kitchens was presented his bag earlier in the week as he was unable to attend the ceremony. Many thanks to Jerry King for making this all possible, and wishing all of our new inductees many more years of fun and fellowship playing softball with us at CSSA!
All Monday morning games have been cancelled due to wet fields. Double Headers to follow at later date.l
CSSA Softball Tournament Benefits Tranquility House
On April 22, CSSA hosted its first ever CSSA Spring Softball Tournament in Cartersville, Georgia to raise money for a good cause. Donny Adams coordinated this successful event, in which seven teams competed, including teams from Norcross and even Chattanooga, Tennessee. The tournament raised $2,200 for Tranquility House in Cartersville, which provides vital services and emergency shelter to victims of domestic violence and their children, and an array of other important support for those in need of assistance. In the photo, Donny Adams presents a check for $2,200 to Zanett Ellington, Assistant Director of Tranquility House. Learn more about Tranquility House here: https://www.tranquility-house.org/

Sam Clemons Assistance Fund
Our friend and teammate Sam Clemons was a victim of a residential fire several nights ago, and although Sam is fine, he lost everything in the fire. Sam is insured, but sometimes these claims can take a while.
Our CSSA community cares about all of our members, and sends Sam its heartfelt thoughts and prayers. Not surprisingly, many of you have expressed a desire to help Sam. So, the Board of Directors has put up a link here on TeamPages for anyone that would like to make a donation!
https://www.teampages.com/forms/25013-Charity-Events then scroll down to the bottom to “Sam Clemons,” choose an amount to help out Sam, and let’s help him get back on his feet!
