There are a number of exciting announcements that will be made in more detail in the coming days about the SYFL and the University of Nevada expanding their strategic partnership. Nevada Wolf Pack Head Football Coach Brian Polian has an incredible amount of energy and has a clear vision for working with the SYFL. A few exciting announcements:
1 — Coach Polian will be the keynote speaker at the Mandatory Coaching Clinic Saturday, June 29 at the Nugget. Please plan to be there on time and be prepared to learn from one of the finest. Coach Polian has also offered to conduct a coaching clinic with his staff and the SYFL next season (look for a full day opportunity to learn from the best staff in the country).
2 — Youth Football day this year will be the Nevada Wolf Pack vs. BYU game Saturday, November 30 @ 12pm. We need to show up in force and back the Pack! More details to follow; however, we will likely have 1 or more “on field” opportunities. This is Senior Day and former McQueen player and current BYU Linebacker Kyle Van Noy will be coming home. Kids in jerseys!
3 — Look for details in the coming weeks about special season ticket packages for the Nevada Wolf Pack’s 2013 Campaign — 2 adults and 2 kids (great prices). If you can’t wait until the announcement, send an email to SYFL mom, Meredith Montoya — mmontoya@unr.edu — and she will get you hooked up!
4 — Follow Coach Polian on Twitter — @brianpolian. Show him how large we are as an organization.
5 — Want to play the All-Star Game or the Championships at Nevada? Support the Wolf Pack and they will support us. More details to be announced.
6 — Attend next summer’s youth football camp. This year was the first year. It was small but well run. Next year it will be huge! Look for an exclusive SYFL discount to attend.
