Averi Moliga has accepted the position of the Hug Football Area Coordinator effective immediately.

Barbie Coffey will remain as the Cheer area coordinator for Hug.

Week 4 Grade Checks are due on 9/5 pursuant to RULE SYFL 14 as stated below.

Grade checks can be found in the document section of the website in the coached binder documents folder

SYFL 14 The SYFL requires that grade checks be done twice during the season. The first grade check is considered a progress report. The head coach is to distribute grade check forms to all registered athletes. All players must have the forms completed no later than the start of game 4 of the regular season. These grade checks will be considered unofficial and should be kept in the team binders although not required for eligibility. Head coaches will be responsible for verifying grades and ensuring participants are in compliance with the standards set by the SYFL. All players will be eligible to play, however, the head coach must use sound judgment to determine whether a participant should continue to participate until they meet the SYFL minimum requirements.

If you are interested in becoming a football Area Coordinator and you are part of the Hug camp, please complete an Area Coordinator application and submit it to execboard@gosyfl.com for consideration.

There will be make up weigh ins tonight between 5:30-6:30pm with the Secretary.

Make Up weigh ins are based on availability of executive board members at this point so if you still have players or cheerleaders in need of certification – you must bring them tonight as our availability is becoming less flexible with the season under way.

PLAYERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN CERTIFICATION FORMS OR THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
COACHES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO EMAIL WEIGH IN FORMS AND HAVE THEM PRINTED AT THE OFFICE.

PLAYER MUST HAVE THEIR OWN COPY OF THEIR ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

The league will no longer be providing the option to make the certificate forms or make copies for people.

1. Player/Cheerleader
2. Original Birth Certificate
3. A copy of Birth Certificate
4. Player Form/Certification
5. Helmet (football only: $3 if you need x-man stickers)

OFFICE WILL BE OPEN FOR MAKE UP WEIGH INS ON TUESDAY, 8/11 FROM 4:00PM – 5:30PM
Please come prepared as it delays everyone when you do not and risks your ability to weigh in if not prepared!

3:00-5:00pm & 6:30-8:00pm.
