Our 2016 Rules have been posted in the documents section of the website.

The below rules have changed for the 2016 season, so please be sure to read these new rules as they are very important changes for our league.

ALL COACHES MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH THESE RULES IN ORDER TO VOLUNTEER IN THIS LEAGUE.

SYFL1A and 1B – variance rules as it pertains to assistant coaches
SYFL2 – Bandits age limits – removed rule that impacted 7 year old turning 8
SYFL26: Concussion policy for coaches and parents in determining a concussion and when a player must be pulled from the game and when they may return to the game
FB5: Clarification on off season practice rules. Eliminated contradicting statements and more clearly defined when equipment may be used to avoid confusion
FB6: Weight rule limit for collegiate only to change to “unlimited” and required safety certification for collegiate coaches
FB24: Addition to tie breakers in standings. Added points against as a tie breaker before the coin flip

ALL Cheer rules have been reorganized. Some rules were re-written to be more relevant to what the organization has been doing for some time, some have been removed, others have been added.

Online Registration is now open to all players and cheerleaders!

*Proof of residency must be received at proof@gosyfl.com within 10 days after registration to ensure your spot on the roster.

*Financial Assistance parents MAY NOT register online. If any parent wished to apply for Financial Assistance, please click on the Financial Information link on the left hand of the page. Any applicants that register online will automatically be denied.

*Be sure to choose the option to register the first player. Sibling discounts only apply to children registered AFTER the first child. If there are no siblings, please put “N/A” in the box requesting sibling names. If you register incorrectly – you will lose your spot on the roster.

Please contact your respective Area Coordinator or Head Caoch for the information to sign up your returning players.

*siblings of returning players may also register at this time but they MUST live in the same household. Proof may be required.

2016 Volunteer Applications are now being accepted for both Cheer and Football.
Application may be found in the 2016 Applications folder in the Documents section of the webpage.

RETURNING VOLUNTEERS – will not have to provide your social security number. All other information on the application must be completed.

NEW VOLUNTEERS – MUST provide a social security number for a background check. Any applications not containing this information will be rejected. If you are not willing to provide the information on our application, you will not be accepted as a head coach. Electronic copies are much more secure than paper copies.

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE EMAILED TO APPLICATIONS@GOSYFL.COM with NAME/CAMP/DIVISION/POSITION IN THE SUBJECT HEADER. Any applications received not in this format may not be accepted by the league.
PAPER COPIES WILL BE REJECTED. PLEASE SEE YOUR AREA COORDINATOR FOR ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS.

Our Rules Committee Meetings are scheduled as follows:

Football and SYFL Rules – Tuesday, February 9th 6:30pm

Cheer Rules – Thursday, February 11th 5:30pm
