Led by the pitching of Chris Manzo, Ben Picone and Noah Sullivan, Flood Ford Auto, who started the year losing six in a row, won their ninth straight game over Warwick Pal to advance to the quarterfinals against East Greenwich.

Evan Greenberg went 3/3 with a walk to lead the East Greenwich Avengers to a 10-1 win over Coventry.

The Avengers advance to the quarterfinals to play Flood Ford Auto.

Led by the solid pitching of Calvin Battersby, West Warwick tied their series against East Providence at 1-1 with a 6-3 victory.

Batterbsy, who went the distance, gave up only one earned run on four hits with three strikeouts.

West Warwick took an early 2-1 lead in the top of the second inning when Dominic Carollo (infield hit) and Nick Brown (single) scored on a Logan Dean rbi single and an error.

East Providence tied it at 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Aidan Kerwick singled, advanced to second on an error, moved to third on a walk and scored on Matt Borden’s sacrifice fly to center.

In the top of the sixth inning, WWCM made it 5-2 when they scored three runs on two hits (Chase Joubert and Sammy Corrado) two errors.

Trailing 5-2, the Knights cut the lead to 5-3 with a run from Chris Laureano. Laureano walked, moved to second on an errant throw and later scored on another infield error.

Sean White’s rbi double (scoring Alex Johnson) gave West Warwick a 6-3 lead in the seventh inning.

Despite giving a double to Matt Borden, Battersby was able to retire three batters on three flyouts to record the victory.

In an epic ten inning battle, the Lions of Narragansett/South Kingstown erupted for four runs in the top of the tenth inning to even the series 1-1.

Westerly’s Phil Pedersen left in the eighth inning with the game tied at 3-3; for the game, he struck out five.

For the Lions, Robbins went five innings, stuck out five and then, Poirier took over and limited the Bulldogs to no runs the rest of the way.

Westerly was on the bases often, but managed only three runs in the third inning on rbi’s by Noah Burdick, Jackson Shaffer and Deluca Kyan.

The Lions attack was capped by hits by Poirier, M. Rodman and a double by Wholley
