Bedford Youth Soccer Club - Travel Program
Bedford Youth Soccer Club will hold annual Try-outs for U-8 and older boys and girls. The Travel Tryouts offer the players an opportunity to showcase their ability. The Tryouts also offer the Coaches an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Players and assist the Travel Committee select and assign all players to the appropriate team where an age/skill appropriate development plan will be implemented. These try-outs are held every year in the month of May.
FALL 2019 - SPRING 2020 Team Tryouts:
Bedford Youth Soccer Club will hold its annual tryouts on May 11th and May 15th, 2019 for the formation of teams that will compete in the Fall 2019 / Spring 2020 Westchester Youth Soccer League.

BASIC INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROGRAM AND TRYOUTS:
Two tryouts will be conducted in most age groups and participants will be evaluated by professional trainers. It is strongly recommended that each participant attend each tryout. The tryout is FREE.
- Participants must wear shin guards and cleats to tryouts.
- Participants should wear any shirt appropriate for soccer EXCEPT a BYSC or Castleford practice or game shirt.
- Arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
Please bring the following items to tryouts:
- Copy of the player’s birth certificate (only if player has not previously played on a WYSL team)
- Soccer ball
***Players must register in advance on the BYSC Website - Travel System in order to participate in the tryouts. Go to bedfordyouthsocerclub.org to register for Tryouts.

NOTE: WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS REQUESTS TO CHANGE IN-HOUSE TEAMS. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US TO MAKE SUCH A REQUEST.
We have tried to accommodate all requests for specific team or coach assignments made during registration. If your request was not honored we apologize, but we had hundreds of requests and it was not always possible to make every one work.
We also have a drop-off box at the Bedford Public Library near the village green where you can drop off player photos, documents and forms, etc.
Please allow 72 hours for your response.

1. What is the cost for the programs?
PreK and Kindergarten - Saturdays Only -$175 per participant,
Kindergarten - Wednesday and Saturday Clinics- $300 per participant,
1st thru 6th Grades- Saturdays Only- $200 per participant,
1st thru 6th Grades and Pre-Travel - Saturday and Wednesday - $350 per participant.
2. When do the programs run?
All programs run on Saturdays with the KG 2 Play,1st Grade Clinic, and Pre-Travel programs also running a mid week session, please go to the In-house, KG 2 Play or Pre-Travel tabs for more details.
3. Will there be SEPARATE BOYS AND GIRLS PROGRAMS for PRE-KINDERARTEN through 6TH GRADE?
The options will be presented on the Registration System.
4. What Uniforms or equipment is required?
ALL In-House Members MUST wear a BYSC uniform and shin guards at every Session - cleats are optional but recommended. BYSC uniforms can only be purchased at Mt. Kisco Sport - 13 East Main St in Mt Kisco.
5. Do I need to stay with my child?
Parents or guardians of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten players must remain at the field throughout the Session.
6. How will I know if the program is canceled or delayed?
Weather related Announcements - Cancellations will ONLY be posted on the Website - once the Program has been canceled DO NOT expect an email announcement. NOTE: After a Cancellation Announcement has been posted all remaining Sessions for that day are canceled - regardless of any improvement in the weather.
