PALL Community:
Under normal circumstances, this message would be a reminder to register for the 2021 Spring Little League season. Things are obviously anything but normal right now, but we wanted to reach out to ensure you that the Board is committed to getting all divisions back on the field in 2021. in some capacity.
Our 2021 Board is meeting regularly, participating in district meetings, and communicating with local officials regarding the current situation and keeping up-to-date with all state and county guidelines affecting our youth sports. At the same time, we are making the necessary plans for the safe return of an official Little League regular season and postseason.
The PALL Board will continue working diligently towards our Spring LL season and will communicate new developments with our PALL Community. For now, continue to stay safe, enjoy the Holiday Season, and keep playing catch!

Dear P.A.L.L. Families:
We are asking for the generosity of our P.A.L.L. community to help support one of Poway National Little League former players, 14 year old Drew Merrifield who was involved in a tragic trampoline accident on Tuesday evening. A GoFundMe page has been set-up to help Drew’s family with medical and other expenses they will need in order to assist in Drew’s long road to recovery. Let us show them how “Poway Strong” we are in making a donation to his fight. Go to https://gf.me/u/ydgq6d for more details. Let’s all wish Drew a Godspeed recovery.

REMINDER; SPRING 2020

Posted by Poway American Little League at Jun 17, 2020 3:42PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hi PALL Families,

We are excited to see some players back on the field! Practices were held for the first time this past Monday and it was great to see how well coaches and players handled social distancing and the various other aspects we need to comply with to maintain the highest level of safety for everyone.

Here is a quick reminder:

Refund Policy

The following refund policy has been provided for those players that do not wish to participate in
the summer season. Please note that a majority of PALL expenses that are used to operate the
season are incurred before a single game is played. However, these are extraordinary times and
we have made every effort to provide at least a partial refund to you.

Therefore, we are offering two options:

1. 50% refund – please email refund request to info@pallbaseball.org

OR

2. Donate your refund amount to PALL. These funds will be used to cover necessary field
improvements and equipment. PALL is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization which makes all
donations tax-deductible. PALL’s EIN # is 95-3697268.

We would be very grateful and humbled if you elected your amount as a donation. If that is what
you choose to do, no further action is need on your part.

Your option for a refund will expire Friday, June 19th at midnight. After this, we will not be able
to process refunds or credits.

Thank you,

Poway American Little League

SPRING 2020 SEASON DECISION

Posted by Poway American Little League at Jun 10, 2020 12:36PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hello PALL Families!

We received great news! The Governor announced that they will be allowing youth sports to return to practice on June 12th, 2020.

We had a board meeting June 9th and have confirmed that we will be hosting a summer session for Minor A and Majors! If/when social distancing guidelines are relaxed, we will look to integrate Minor B. Due to the ages and challenges of keeping younger kids social distanced, the board decided it was best to cancel Rookies and T-Ball. Juniors will also be cancelled.

Our intention is to begin holding practices for Minor A and Majors the week of June 15th.

Please note: Games will not be able to begin until the State and Local Officials approve youth sports for game play. Game play will be the event that would allow us to integrate Minor B.

Safety for our kids is our top priority. In order for all this to happen, we will be following certain protocols that will assure the safety of volunteers and players.

These protocols will include:

• Maximum of 12 players practicing (not including coaches) in a “stable sports group”
• Face coverings of kids are encouraged, but not required
• Symptom checks of kids are required
• Face coverings for coaches and volunteers will not be required as long as social distancing is being practiced.
Coaches and volunteers will be required to have a face mask with them in case there is close interaction with the
kids (i.e. attending to an injury or close communication within 6 feet)
• Cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
• Marking designated seating six feet apart in the dugout
• Certain drop-off and pick-up rules will apply such as no carpooling and parents not being able to come and watch
practice.

A detailed list of all protocols will be sent in a separate email.

Parents and guardians will be required to sign a commitment to abide by the plan requirements prior to being allowed to participate. See attached: “Parent Commitment Form”.

Your team manager or Board member will be contacting shortly to ask if you will be participating. You will submit your signed forms to your managers.

The results of returning players and coaches, will determine practice format as well as determine format of games (if games will be allowed).

Hello PALL Families,

As some of you may have heard, Little League made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 World Series and all regional tournaments. While this is very sad news for the players hoping to make it to Williamsport, PA this has not closed the door on our Poway American Spring 2020 season. This piece is taken directly from the Little League website, dated today, April 30th:

As certain states and municipalities begin their phased approaches to reopening, it is highly encouraged that each league and district adheres to the guidelines set forth by their respective state and local government and health officials in terms of public gatherings, organized youth sports, and sporting events when determining when it is safe to return to Little League activities after May 11. Leagues should contact their state and local health authority and other municipalities for guidance prior to resuming any Little League activities.

+What does this mean for PALL?

Our president, Eddie Atchley, is in regular with the PUSD administration. As I am sure you have seen, there is a step by step approach on how our communities will be able re-enter social settings. Little League is leaving season decisions to the individual districts and they will be considered in accordance with state and local governments. Right now we are working with PUSD since we will need permission from them to move forward, if and only if, it is safe for our players, coaches, volunteers and fans.

We will provide updates in a timely fashion as they become available. We are so appreciate of your support as we continue to navigate these uncharted waters, We miss all of your smiling faces and look forward to getting back on the field. We hope you and your loved ones are safe, healthy, and are able to remain positive with all that is going on.

Warmly,

Poway American Little League
