The Countdown to OPENING DAY!

Posted by Greg Strachan at Feb 26, 2020 9:54PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Finally…the wait is over! Time to get to it! Our first hit of the season (since we are visitor’s Saturday) is less than 72 hours away. Here is what the next few days look like:

FRIDAY:
4-5:45pm Final pre-season practice. It is IMPERATIVE all players attend. Jerseys will be distributed as well.

SATURDAY:
7:50am PICTURE TIME (it will be the cleanest they look all season!). Players will meet at the photo location behind Field 4. Player forms must be filled out BEFORE 7:50am. All players received their picture form at last Friday’s practice. Even if you are not ordering any pictures, your form must be filled out for the complimentary team picture.
9:00am Players begin to line up behind field 1.
9:30-10:45am Opening Day ceremonies
10:45am Time to get to work. Pre-game warm-ups begin.
12:00pm IT’S ON! TIME TO BRING IT!
3:00-5:30pm Our 1st Snack Shack duty. Thank you to Jen Strachan, Cori Queen, and Kari Zipp for representing the Angels!

Lastly, Players Grill in Poway has generously offered to sponsor a fundraiser on Opening Day as well. Stop by anytime after our game Saturday in your uniform and tell your server “It’s Opening Day at PALL!” 15% of all proceeds will be donated back to the league.

As a side note, I am a huge proponent of team chemistry and the difference that makes for a team. The more times we can have the boys go eat after the game, the better. Just keep that in the back of your mind after a long day of work, rushing to the field, etc… Saturday evening (once all of the Opening Day madness ends) is a great opportunity.

John, Jake, and I are looking forward toward all the success the boys will experience this season!
