Hi all,I am attaching Team budget (and will post to teams) – please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions.  As was said, our plan is try to be as lean as we can with the budget, so if we need to re-evaluate in October, we will do so.Kelly has very kindly offered to run the sausage fundraiser, but we have decided to do Brussieres as the first one (and if we need another one, we will do Dabrowski in January).  They have a lot of options for loose sausage and stuff and lots of people are already doing Dabrowskis, so thank you Kelly!  Once she has the order forms, we will distribute with more info.If we didn’t get your 150 deposit, please bring it tomorrow to Tractor pull.  We will see you there at 11:30 am.  We need everyone to sign waivers, so please don’t be later than that.One of the things we still haven’t sorted out is player team jerseys.  We need either one person to step up and take care of the jerseys for the season OR Josée and I will come up with a schedule and assign each family a few weeks of responsibility to make it fair so we all have a turn.  This is a TMHA policy that the jerseys are managed this way. 
With regards to team ‘uniforms’ off the ice, this is on top of the budget (not included).  The following items are required (so if you already have them from last year, you do not need to re-buy):- warm up suit (jacket and pants)- grey north stars hoodie (everyone needs this – NEW)
- grey north stars t-shirt- green north stars shorts (everyone will need this – NEW)

Coach Kevin has taken care of all the players tickets for the Rock Game. We wanted to make sure all the teammates sat together. For the parents and families that will be attending, the players seats are in section 61. Please go to Timminsrock.com and purchase your tickets for this section or as close as possible. Coach Al will be at the arena at 6 and will have the players tickets and jerseys to hand out as they arrive. Please make sure your children know that they will be representing K&D Contracting Timmins North Stars and that there in no running around the arena. Coach Kevin will join the team once he is done with obligations for the Timmins Rock hockey team.

We are looking forward to seeing all the players tomorrow at 6 pm at Anicet Morin school. Please remember to pack shoes and water bottle.
For the parents, we will be collecting the signed player cards and signed Rowan Law. Coach Kevin will do a short explanation while the boys do some dry land. We have 3-4 activities planned as Team Builders/ice breakers. It should be a fun hour!

Hi Parents,
First, I am very happy to say that we have secured a team sponsor. K & D Contracting and Roofing has very generously agreed to be our team sponsor. This is huge for us and will help to alleviate some of the financial commitments from parents. Please join me in thanking them (and do take a moment to thank them in the community!)

I am also attaching a player sponsor letter that you can use to secure the two sponsors for your child. Please let us know as soon as possible who the sponsors are since we need to organize for the printing of name bars. You can either comment on this post if you have the name or email me at llmcmeekin@gmail.com. We will want to confirm we have all spelling correct also.

Welcome parents and players to what we know will be a great season for the Timmins AA North Stars. We plan to do an introduction of your Team managers and coaching staff at the parent meeting which will take place during the team practice on Saturday, September 7th. Please plan to attend as a lot of information will be shared at that time. In the meantime, here are some highlights of information:
• Tournament information: we will share more information soon, but here are some dates to block out:
1. Showcase – Dates to be confirmed, probably end of september
2. Rockland – November 1-3 (5 guaranteed games)
3. Rouyn – December 12-15
4. Val d’Or – Feb 6-9
• Team building! Getting to know your teammates is so important, which is why we want to start off the season with a team building event. Let’s get these boys doing some fun activities while getting to know each other. This event will motivate the boys to want to start the season strong! Details: Ecole Anicet-Morin on Tuesday, September 3rd from 6-7 pm
• Timmins Rock Home Opener Game on Friday, September 6th. Reduced ticket pricing and the North Stars will be special guests to the game and meet the Rock players after the game in the dressing room. Cost will be $1 for the players and regular price for the parents and other family members that want to attend. The code will be setup tomorrow and I will send out a message on how purchase the tickets.
• Sizing for team uniforms will take place after the first practice on Saturday, September 7th. Players can try on different sizes. We are still sourcing different options for uniforms, but looking at track suits/hoodies as options.
• We will have another dry land training event at Centennial Public School taking place from 6-7 on Tuesday, September 10th. The goal is to go over face off plays and to show players the proper way to shoot pucks. We will have a player challenge including setting goals and re-evaluations during the season.
• Team pages website – you should have all received a link to create an account on team pages. We plan to post all relevant information there. Please try to get in the habit of checking this page first (you can also download the App!) Sponsor letters will also be on this site soon, so you will be able to print your sponsor letter and then let us know who you got as sponsors (two of them required). If you are having problems creating your account, let us know so we can help.
• Fundraising. Our first fundraiser will be the Tractor Pull at the fall fair. You can collect funds from family friends, but please write one cheque out to Timmins North Stars. We won’t accept cash, please organize cheques. We will collect the funds the morning of the event. Other planned fundraisers include selling Dabrowskis (October) and one other fundraiser (to be decided). If you have an idea, let us know!
• Player development is at the heart of all of the decisions of our coaching staff. We are working towards some development skills days, so more information on that to come
