Coaching Clinic for MSO Coaches this Friday!

MSO Softball will be holding a coaches clinic on Friday, April 20, from 8-9pm at the Maplewood Middle School gymnasium.   

The clinic will be led by former D1 Softball Player (Seton Hall) Jackie DiPietro.   Jackie was Seton Hall's starting left fielder, led the team in batting average and was awarded All Big East First Team.    She has been coaching girls of all ages and skill levels for the past 5 years, specializing in left-handed slap hitting, general batting, and outfield play.

She is a great resource for running effective practices, teaching the basics, and how to keep the girls engaged.  We hope to see as many of you as possible!

Summer Villagers Tryouts- 8U

Tryouts for the Summer Villagers 8U (yob 2009, 2010 and 2011) will take place at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 29th and Friday, May 11th at Maplecrest Park (field 3).

 

We encourage those trying out to attend both tryout dates if possible.

2018 - Evaluations Thank You & Rec Teams

Recreation Softball Teams

Thank you to all of the Junior and Senior division players who attended the Recreation Softball evaluations this past Saturday, and to the coaches and parent volunteers who made the process run so smoothly!  

REMINDER- If you missed evaluations, the MAKE UP session is scheduled for Monday, 3/5 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Junior Division - 4th & 5th grades) or 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Senior Division - 6th, 7th & 8th grades).

The MSO Softball Committee is compiling the results, and the coaches will meet Tuesday, March 13th to conduct the player draft and form teams.  Parents and players in these divisions should expect to hear from their coach shortly.

In parallel, the MSO Softball Committee is reviewing friend requests and assembling the teams for the T-Ball / Coach Pitch and Rookie divisions.  Parents and players in these divisions should also expect to hear from their coach shortly.
