KNIGHTS ANNOUNCE 15U TRYOUTS FOR 2010   (JULY 29^th and AUGUST 5^th)

The Federal Way Knights (15U) select baseball team is holding tryouts for their 2010 team.  Tryouts will be held on the following dates and times.

July 29^th  600pm.  Federal Way National Complex   450 SW Campus Drive, Federal Way, WA 98023

August 5^th  600pm  Federal Way National Complex  450 SW Campus Drive, Federal Way, WA 98023

The team is looking to add quality players at all positions to their current roster.  Pitcher only candidates will also be considered.  Any high level player at any position that will be 15U eligible in 2010 (cannot be 16 before May 1, 2010) is eligible and welcomed to tryout.  Attendance to both tryouts is better than just one.

Over the past 3 years, this Knights team has compiled a record of 120-33, travelled and competed nationally to: Cooperstown, NY, Arizona, California, Omaha, NE,  Oregon, and played extensively throughout the state of Washington against top level competition at and above our age level.  We participate at high level events in national sanctions including: AAU, USSSA, BPA, Triple Crown, and local events.  Players interested in the team should be prepared and willing to train and workout on a year round basis to improve their baseball skills.  Individual training along with the provided team training is also encouraged. 

Other school sports commitments in the fall and winter are honored during those appropriate seasons.

The team is managed and coached by: John Sugg, Steve Pearson, Scott Kolterman, and Justin Lee, team trainer is Pete Shimer and conditioner is Mark Pridgett.  Background and resumes are available upon request.

The 2010 season is planned to include the following (September 1, 2009  to  August 31, 2010):

• Sept and Oct  -  light fall ball schedule
• November – off
• December / January – team indoor conditioning program (once a week only)
• February / March – team indoor baseball training program  (once/twice a week)
• April / May -  Outdoor practice, light tournament and game schedule to accommodate HS baseball commitments
• June/July/August -  Heavy play, about 8 tournaments, weeknight games, practicing.

Player cost for the season is $250 (yes, this amount is correct), this is all inclusive except for some travel costs.  The family and player are also required to participate in 2 major annual fundraiser events during the year, and attend a monthly organizational meeting.  For questions contact John Sugg at 253-303-1782, or suggerbaseball@live.com.  See the FW Knights baseball program website for information at federalwayknights.com.
