Hello Parents,

 

I am pleased to hear that your children are having many successes this baseball season. Throughout my hitting lessons and input from many of you, I am finding that many of the kids would benefit from a solid foundation of baseball fundamentals.  When kids have an understanding of the proper techniques in terms they can understand, they have the opportunity to grow and have success.  This success leads to confidence and the kids become better baseball players. 

 

I have decided to team up with Dodger Pitching Instructor Casey Deskins to provide a clinic focusing on baseball fundamentals. He has been in professional baseball for 14 years as a player, scout, and coach.  His knowledge gained by 7 years experience in advanced scouting for the Dodgers in Los Angeles is matched by no other. He has developed and instructed numerous baseball camps across the country. 

 

The clinic will be on Sunday April 27^TH 1pm-3pm focusing on the fundamentals of baseball.  The clinic will run 2 hours with a cap of 20 kids to ensure each child is getting the hands on attention they need.  Teaching will consist of many different aspects involved in baseball including: throwing mechanics, footwork drills, pitching mechanics, outfield/infield drills, on field batting practice, and many more.  Each camper will receive a “Clinic Manual” breaking down various topics covered in camp for future reference. We will also be providing a Radar Gun for throwing velocity to gage where your child is so you will be able to monitor there development in the future. Playing against the Reds, Tucker Bennett went 3-3 with a single, double, and a 3 run homer over the left field fence. This was Tucker's first home run ever!
