MILL 9/10 Baseball Clinic - May 25 2011

There will be a MILL Baseball Clinic for players
league age 9/10 years old. The clinic will be held on June 7th
and 9th at Tropical Field, 6-8 pm. All MILL players league age
9/10 are encouraged to attend.
Adam Metcalf hit his
third homerun. It was a 3 run shot that happened on May 19th
against the SC Tigers. Way to hit it, Adam!
Congratulations to the Majors Athletics and Minor1 Yankees for winning their respective Championship Series!

The A's score four runs in the bottom of the 5th which included a three run
home run by Connor Allen. Going into the sixth inning the A's trailed the
Dodgers 10-8. After holding the Dodgers in the top of the sixth, the A's Eddie
Kitta lead off the bottom of the inning with a single to right field. Sean
Pemberton quickly tied the game with a two run home run to left field. After the
Dodgers made a pitching change, Jacob Bogle hit a 1-1 pitch deep to centerfield
for a walk off home run sealing the championship for the A's.
The Dodgers quickly responded with three runs in the fourth and six runs in the
fifth, including a home run by Quentin Ashley, to put the A's in a 10-4 hole. Nice job, Quentin!
