All games other then Game #13 and #14 the home team will be decided by a coin toss.
In games #13 and #14 the home team shall be the higher seed.
*************HOME RUN DERBY *************
Each team shall be represented by 1 hitter
The coach or team rep soft tosses to his batter for a total of 10 swings.
The winner will be declared by the batter whom has most fair-ball homers
If tied, each player within the tie will have 3 more swings
If still tied, will be 1 pitch each until a winner is declared
If nothing leaves the park, the farthest hit ball will win
ROUND THE HORN - Each team represented by 5 players with the fastest time declared the winner
BASERUNNING - Each team represented by 4 players with the fastest time declared the winner
TRANSITION RELAY - Each Team represented by 4 players with the first team completing declared the winner.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
1) Will consist of 8 teams in round robin play within 2 pools.Points for these games will be awarded as follows with ties standing
2) Points will be awarded as follows
Win - 2
Tie - 1
Loss -0
3a) Upon completion of pool play the teams will be seeded 1-4 in each pool based on points accumulated.
shall a tie occur between 2 or more teams.the teams involved in will be awarded their seeding using
rule 28.01
3b) Seeds 1 and 2 from each pool will then advance to the Semi-final games as indicated
and identified on the schedule as games #13 and #14
3c) The remaining 4 teams that do not qualify for a Semi-Final game will be given a random game to be played
on Sunday.The Director will create these Random Games on Saturday evening and inform
each Manager ASAP.These games will be created to try and accomplish getting teams
playing an unseen team and or playing at an unplayed park.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
1) All teams shall be composed of not more then 14 players
2) All teams must submit a copy of their team roster to the tournament office 45
minutes prior to their first game.
3) Teams may pick up a maximum of 3 players.Of which can only come from within
your own association and from the PW A level
4) Any pickup player must wear their own teams uniform and must be declared when
submitting your rosters.Failure to do so will deem any pick-up ineligable to compete
5) Pick-up players may play any position
6) All players shall play more than they sit.No player shall sit for 2 consecutive innings.
Barring injury.
7) Unlimited substitutions are allowed.All pitching changes must be made thru the home
plate umpire
8) Any player or team official ejected from a game shall be suspended from their
teams following game,unless furthur suspension is decided by the tournament
director
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
1) ALL RULES OF BC MINOR BASEBALL ASSOCIATION THAT DO NOT
CONFLICT WITH THE RULES OF THIS DOCUMENT SHALL APPLY
2) “Mercy Rule” in effect for all games (10 runs as per B.C.M.B.A).
3) ALL teams shall report to the Tournament Director at least 45 minutes prior to the
start of their first game and provide a roster of players,showing clearly their pick-
up players
4) Home team shall be determined by Umpire or Director coin toss no less then 45
minutes prior to game at which time lineups for both teams shall be submitted to
the umpire and official scorekeeper
5) The Home Team must be the official scorekeeper(unless provided by tournament) and
occupy the 3rd base dugout. This includes Pitch Count Sheets
6) Any breach of the tournament or pitching rules may result in the forfeiture of that
game and/or next game.no matter when the breach is discovered
7) In the case of a protest,the game shall be stopped immediately,and a decision shall
be rendered by the Director,who may seek advisors
8) Pursuant to BCMBA rules all players shall wear helmets with straps
9) In case of bad weather,all teams must show up for scheduled game at which time
the umpire will render a decision.Games which are not necessary for the final
standings may be cancelled if necessary
10) Innings 1 and 2 will have a 5 run limit
11) No new inning may start after 2 hours 15 minutes in all games except in games #13,14,17 and 18
These games shall be played until a winner is declared
12) Pitch count sheets supplied by VMBA shall be used by both teams thru-out the tournament.
Upon completion of each game they are to be signed by your opposing Manager and turned into the desk
of the convenor
PITCHING RULES
1) All pitches pitched Thursday will count as Friday for the Tournament
2) A calendar week is from 12:01 AM Monday to 12:00 PM ( midnight) the following
Sunday
3) The nights rest rule carries forward from calendar week to calendar week.
4) A pitcher once removed from the mound may not return at any point during the
same game
5) If a pitcher comes in cold he or she shall be allowed 5 warm-up pitches
6) Pitchers in violation of any pitching rules shall be considered ineligible players
subject to penalties outlined in the section on protests and penalties,Rule 22.4
7) It is the responsibility of the coach to review all pitching records held by the
official scorekeepers before the start of any game
8) All pitchers must sign pitching records at the end of each game
9) Pitchers will be allowed 5 warm-up pitches between innings
Rule 23: Pitching Rules
23.01 Number of Pitches and Required Rest
Pee Wee AA
1-35 pitches = no rest
36-55 pitches = 2 nights rest
56-75 pitches = 3 nights rest
Note : Pitches thrown in warm-up,bullpen or thrown when ruled No Pitch due to a Balk
do not count towards Pitch Count
23.03 Pitching on Consecutive Days
Pitchers are not permitted to pitch on four (4) consecutive days. A player can only
pitch on a third (3rd) consecutive day if ALL the following conditions are met....
(i) Games are during Spring Tournaments, Summer, Single Seasons or
Provincials
(ii) His/her total pitch count on the 2 previous days does not exceed the Spring
no rest limit for his/her division as defined under rule 23.01.
Example: A 13U pitcher may only pitch on a 3rd day, if his/her combined
total for days 1 and 2 does not exceed 35 pitches.
(iii) Teams/pitchers are not in the 11U or younger age groups.
23.08 Penalty for Violations
(A) Maximum Pitch Count Violation
If a pitcher is about to exceed his/her maximum pitch count for the day the
opposing manager and/or official scorekeeper and/or tournament director
must inform the pitcher’s manager before the violation occurs. If a
violation is discovered after it occurs the pitcher is simply removed from
the mound and no further penalty will be invoked.
Managers will be responsible for both charting and reporting to the Director their teams pitch
counts

This is a last minute tourny set up to satisfy those PW AA teams that were unable to enter other Victoria weekend events. At this point we have 6 teams confirmed and are aiming at bumping the event up to have 8 teams participate.Your not going to get a better bang for your buck as this event is being put on not as a fund raiser but more so to get more boys and girls out there on our diamonds. The event will include MVP'S for each game as well as a Skills Competition which will involve all the members of your team. Your team will be guaranteed 4 games possibly 5 shall we get those final 2 teams.

IT WILL BE A BUSY DAY AT THE PARK! WE HAVE MANY TEAMS PLAYING GAMES, GETTING THEIR PHOTO’S DONE AND OF COURSE…THROWING THEIR TOONIES!
WE WILL ALSO HAVE A FUN BOUNCY CASTLE FOR THE EVERYONE TO HAVE FUN IN!
AS SOON AS YOU GET TO THE PARK, FIND THE RED TENT TO REGISTER YOUR TOONIES (WE SHOULD BE NEAR THE BOUNCY CASTLE). IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO REGISTER YOUR TOONIES BECAUSE THAT IS HOW WE ARE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE BIG WINNERS.
REMEMBER THAT FOR EVERY 25 TOONIES COLLECTED YOU GET TO DRAW FROM THE PRIZE BUCKET, WHICH WILL HAVE PRIZES OF MONEY AND CONCESSION TREATS!
AS SOON AS YOU ARE DONE HAVING YOUR PICTURE TAKEN THEN YOU GET TO THROW ALL YOUR TOONIES! ALL THE THROWING WILL BE TAKING PLACE ON THE LOWER “BLASTBALL” DIAMOND (RIGHT BESIDE THE BOUNCY CASTLE)!
