James H. "Jim" D'Entremont Jr. passed away suddenly at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Tuesday, February 16th at the age of 59. He was born in Malden, raised in Medford, graduated from Medford High School in 1968 and Suffolk University in Boston. Jim has been a resident of Melrose for the past 22 years and has been extremely involved with the community. He has been a longtime member of St. Mary's Church where he participated on the parish council, was the coordinator of altar servers and was a Eucharistic Minister. Mr. D'Entremont has coached girls basketball at St. Mary's School for the past 6 years and was a Melrose Youth Soccer coach for 10 years. Jim worked as a salesman for Riverside Pipe & Supply Company for several years, the Eljer Company for 20 years and the past 7 years at AKR Company of CT. He was a gentleman with a big heart, a great sense of humor, an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed golfing. Jim was the devoted father of James H. D'Entremont III and Katie Lee D'Entremont both of Melrose. Loving son of Janet (Bernardi) D'Entremont of Medford and the late James H. D'Entremont Sr. Beloved brother of Denise Rose D'Entremont of Medford. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday Feb. 22nd at 9AM. Funeral Mass in Jim's memory will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2:00-8:00PM. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the D'Entremont Family Fund, in care of Melrose Cooperative Bank, 638 Main St. Melrose, 02176.

Referee Fees 2009-2010 Season

Referee Fees (for each referee):

 Playing a doubleheader (back to back games)$40 per game for Sr. Div. and $40 per game for Jr. Division

 Playing a Single Game: $45 

 Exception: if only 1 referee officiating the game: $60 per game (which would be $30 per team)                      

 

Semi-Finals:

    Senior Div. - Snowstorm: Postponed to Tuesday, March 3

        6:15 pm   St. Joseph, Medford  vs.  St. Patrick

        7:30 pm   St. Mary 7  vs.  St. Agnes

Information Needed at Meeting

Coaches, Your principals have been sent a letter regarding the following information which he/she should be sharing with you as well as a copy of the League's Code of Conduct.

When you come to the meeting on Oct. 15, please be sure to have the following information with you:

     1. League Fee - $50 per team - Check made payable to: Phil Beranger

     2. Gym availability - dates and times in order to schedule games.

 Before Nov. 7th (mailed to me @ St. Francis):

     1. Team Roster

     2. Signed Code of Conduct - school principal, coach(es), and players must sign this form.
