MAKE UP PICTURE DAY - Saturday, April 14th
OPENING DAY - SATURDAY, MARCH 2, 2013
Opening Day will begin at 8:45 A.M. Teams need to be at Santana Park no later than 8:15 A.M. and lined up for the parade on Field #5 (Pony field) by 8:30 A.M.
All teams will be lined up on Field #5 by division in alphabetically order by team name starting on the inside of the outfield fence and will continue on the outside of the outfield fence as required. Team names will be posted on the fences.
Only team managers, coaches and team moms are allowed in the parade and on the field. All parents, family members and friends need to be lined up along the parade route. Reference the Opening Day Park Map in the "Handouts" section.
Opening Day ceremonies will begin around 9:00 A.M. After the ceremonies, team pictures will be taken behind Field #5 (Pony). Each team has an assigned scheduled time.
Skills contests will begin shortly after the opening ceremonies. Players previously selected by each team manager will participate at their assigned times for their division.
After the skills contests, the Shetland Division teams will have their first game of the season on all the fields.
There will be various vendors attending Opening Day for everyone to enjoy.
Spring Season Tryouts - Saturday, January 7th
Tryouts will be held Saturday, January 7th at Santana Park. Players were given a draft number and tryout time at the time of registration and will need to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before their assigned times to check in at the snack bar area before trying out.
Please make sure players bring a glove, a bat and wear cleats and protective gear as needed. Players should also bring water as needed.
NOTE: TRYOUTS DO NOT APPLY TO SHETLAND (5/6 YR OLD) DIVISION PLAYERS.
Late Spring Season Sign Ups - Saturday, January 7th
Late sign ups for the spring season will be taken Saturday, January 7th from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Santana Park at the snack bar area.
If a player has not played in Corona PONY, you must bring a copy of the player's birth certificate or other form of birth date documentation for age verification. Registration will not be accepted without verification of a player's date of birth.
Players (except for the Shetland 5/6 year olds) must also be ready to tryout that day.
Note that a late fee of $20 will apply to all late sign ups.
Also, note that when divisions reach capacity, players will be placed on a wait list.
Pre-Season Managers Meeting
For those interested in managing a team for the 2013 Spring season, there will be a mandatory pre-season managers meeting held at Graziano's as follows:
Thursday, November 1st, 7:00 P.M. - Bronco and Pony Divisions
Monday, November 5th, 6:00 P.M. - Shetland Division
Monday, November 5th, 7:15 P.M. - Mustang Division
Thursday, November 8th, 7:00 P.M. - Pinto Division
Each meeting is formatted to each particular division, so please attend the meeting for the division you are interested in managing for. If you have not turned in your Request To Manage Form yet, please do so at this meeting. It can be download from the "Handouts" section.
