IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Posted by Sharon Dougherty at May 30, 2004 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
1. We are having a problem with many organizations with the rescheduling of games due to rainouts in the proper time. In accordance to By-Law 5.3: 5.3 Ties and Postponements - Ties or postponed games must be rescheduled within five (5) days and played within fifteen (15) days of the original schedule date, or before the scheduled end of the season, whichever comes first. If teams do not agree on a date or find a field, both teams will notify the umpire assignor. The umpire assignor will then notify the President who will set a date. There are currently 7 violations of this by-law which can result in a forfeit to the offending team. If this continues a $5 fine will be assessed each day past the allotted time. (E: If you reschedule a game 7 days after the 15 day rule, a $5 fine will be assessed to the Organization). 2. Also, the ejection of a player or coach must be reported to an Officer by both teams immediately following the game. This is in accordance to By-Law 5.9: 5.9 Ejected Player and/or Coach - Both teams are responsible for reporting any ejected players and/or coaches to any of the league Officers immediately following their game.
