Approximately 10 years back, Vic and Kathy Mette served Shalimar Little League in many different capacities.  Kathy served on the Board of Directors from 2003 – 2006.  Before and after that time Kathy and Vic were one of our Little League families serving the League, as team mom, manager and coaches, and just volunteering their time.   

Kathy over the last few years has battled Brain Cancer.  She lost her courageous battle this past Friday, March 11th.  We will miss her infectious laugh and awesome smile.  Shalimar Little League has lost one of it’s family members. Please keep Vic and Kathy’s two boys, Travis and Trevor in your prayers.

Little League International enacted rules concerning composite-barreled bats.  Composite-barreled bats for use in the Little League (Majors) Division and below are legal only if they are listed on the approved list from Little League.  Little League has created a list for those bats that receive waivers of the moratorium that was enacted on Dec. 30, 2010.  For the list and more information please click on the title Composite Bats above.

Tryouts are on Saturday, January 28th

Check in at the Concession window.  Be sure to report in on time and bring your glove.  You will receive a phone call within 1 week as to your team assignment and practice time.

Late Registration: There is still time to register for the 2012 season.  Use the menu to the left and click on Online Registration . . . OR . . . Please arrive early Saturday morning, complete the paperwork in the Concession, then proceed to Tryouts.
