Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What days will practices be?
A: We typically practice 1-2 times per week. Practices will be held in Apostles Hall which is shared by other groups. Because of this the days may vary from week to week. We will try to keep the practice schedule updated and posted as much in advance as possible. Practice schedules and time frames may vary based upon age groups but we will do our best to keep everyone updated.

Q: Are the girls allowed to tumble?
A: We follow CYO league rules. Last year some tumbling was allowed and we anticipate some being allowed this year as well. Once the winter season begins and the rules finalized, we will know what is allowed for this year and can share that with all the cheerleaders.

Q: How many squads will there be and how will they be broken up?
A: We will be able to determine this once we have all the registrations in. Sign up soon!! We hope to have a lot of cheerleaders and a lot of fun!

Q: When will games be?
A: We will be cheering for the St. Peter basketball teams. Games are typically on Saturdays or Sundays (and anything else you want to add).

Q: How many hours per week will the cheerleaders be practicing?
A: The plan is to have two, 1-hour practices during the week. However, once the season starts, practices may drop down to one, 1-hour practice per week.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The registration fee is $60. We will also ask that you purchase the pair of bunners to be worn under each uniform. All other parts of the uniform, including top, skirt and pom poms will be provided by the program.

Q: My child is interested in participating, but doesn't have any cheerleading, gymnastics or tumbling experience.
A: No problem! We want anyone interested in cheerleading to come out and give it a try. If you've got Saints spirit, we need you!
