The Frederick Hustlers pounded the VA Renegades on Sunday 8-0 at the Maryland Memorial Day State Tournament in four innings.

The Hustlers scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Trevor, an RBI single by Aiden, an RBI single by Kyle, and an RBI single by Stevie.

Aiden racked up two RBIs on two hits for Frederick.

The Renegades had no answer for Trevor, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. VA managed just one hit off of the Hustlers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his three innings of work.

The game was never in doubt after the second, as the Hustlers scored four runs on a groundout by Stevie and two triples.

With this win, the Hustlers advance to the tournament semi finals against the Colangelo Baseball Club from Northern Virginia.  

The Frederick Hustlers beat the Columbia Sun Devils 11-4 in six innings on Saturday at the Memorial Day State Tournament after a six-run explosion in the third inning.

The teams traded runs for the first few innings, leading to multiple lead changes in the game.

The Hustlers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third inning. Frederick scored on a two-run triple by Jacob, scoring Bradley and Justin.

Jacob racked up three RBIs on two hits for Frederick.

Justin got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over two innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Hustlers closer Ryan put away the final six outs to record the save.

The Hustlers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Justin doubled to ignite the offense, before Jacob doubled, bringing home Justin.

In the second, Frederick scored on an RBI double by Stevie, scoring Aiden.

The Columbia Sun Devils survived Frederick's surge and put up three runs of its own in the second. However, the third spelled defeat for the Sun Devils, as Frederick grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on an error and three singles.

The Hustlers added two more runs in the top of the fifth. A hit into a fielder's choice scored Anderew to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Kyle's single, plating Trevor.

The Frederick Hustlers came up on the losing end of a fierce pitchers duel against the Easton Bayhawks today in Game 2 of the Maryland State Tournament. 

Stevie put fourth a valiant effort, striking out 5 batters.

Jacob managed to get on base three times, walking twice and hitting a single.

Despite the loss, the Hustlers are still alive in the tournament. The Hustlers have earned the number 6 seed and play the Virginia Renegades at 11am on Sunday at Fountain Hills Park. 

The Frederick Hustlers are competing in the USSSA State Open "Battle for the Rings" in Germantown, MD over the Memorial Day Weekend.

Fourteen teams are entered in the 10U division. The tournament is being played in a pool format. The Hustlers have drawn pool A and are scheduled to play two games on Saturday at Fountain Hills park. Game 1 will be against the Columbia Sun Devils at 11am. Game 2 immediately follows game 1 at 1pm and will be against the Easton Bayhawks.

Sunday's schedule will not be released until after all teams have finished playing on Saturday and the tournament directors determine seeding.

Four pitchers joined forces to throw a no-hitter for Frederick Hustlers 10U in a 12-0 victory in five innings over the Damascus Cougars on Wednesday at Yellow Springs.

Stevie, Trevor, Justin, and Andrew rounded out their sterling stat line with 12 strikeouts and two walks. The Damascus Cougars couldn't get anything going so long as Stevie was on the hill. Stevie held the Cougars hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six.

The Hustlers' bats came to life in the second inning leading to seven runs.

Trevor had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning.

Jacob, Trevor, Justin and Joseph combined for five hits and seven RBIs.
