Coaching Form Application
Equipment : I will, if accepted as a coach for the 2015 season, agree to return all equipment provided by the Vancouver Minor Baseball Association, in good condition, and should I fail to do so, I agree to reimburse the League for the replacement cost of the same if required by the Association.
Release : In consideration of this application to coach under the auspices of the Vancouver Minor Baseball Association, I do hereby for myself, heirs, executors, and administrators assign and remise, release and forever discharge the Association, its officers, or anyone acting on their behalf from all manner of litigation, damage claims, or demands in law or equity which I may have or acquire by reason of personal injury to myself, loss of damage to property which may occur during or by reason of participation in the activities of the Association. The Vancouver Minor Baseball Association is committed to providing a safe playing environment for all of the members within our Association. Coaches and Team Managers that have not completed this application form will not be allowed to participate in any event(s) such as tryouts, practices and games.

MIDGET
The playing field for this division is a regulation baseball field with 90 foot base paths and 60 feet 6 inches distance from the rubber to home plate. The recommended dimensions for the outfield fence are 320 to 400 feet. With some minor exceptions for substitutions, teams at this level play according to the regular rules of baseball. A pitcher may pitch a maximum of seven innings plus one, in the event of a tie game, in a calendar day and fourteen innings in a calendar week. A regulation game is 7 innings and Rule 14 applies for early termination. Guidelines for play in the Midget Division are found in Rule 23.

Criminal Record Check
To All adult members of Vancouver Minor Baseball Association. If you volunteer or are employed in any manner with VMBA , you must now have a criminal record check performed. This must be done prior to the start of the current baseball season.
Due to RCMP policies only the Vancouver Police Department will conduct criminal record checks within the Vulnerable Sector Services. Print off the Criminal Record Check Form or download from handout below, provided by VMBA, go to the VPD at 2120 Cambie St. with two pieces of ID. (one with a picture).
This will be good for 3 years, and it will be noted in VMBA's data base to keep track of who has their up to date Criminal record check done. If you work in a profession that requires you to obtain a criminal record check please inform us, this may be evaluated on a case by case basis. If you live outside of Vancouver please email flame_1010@hotmail.com and an alternate volunteer letter can be sent to you for use at your local RCMP detachment.
