Update from Hal Alpier on the Progress of Fearless - The Musical
Okay family and friends, it’s update time! Most of you know I co-authored the script, but that effort pales by comparison with all that the show’s creator has done.
Click on www.FearlessTheMusical.com to hear some (fresh-posted yesterday with more on the way) newly-recomposed, fully-orchestrated and rearranged final productions of original Valerie Connelly songs performed by Valerie. You may once have heard the earlier versions and thought they were good, but now . . . well, judge for yourself!
For a fun sampling, try “LISTEN TO YOUR HEART” (number 7). Then taste the big street-scene opener, “NOTHING IS OURS BUT TIME.” In the show, the #7 song is sung by the male lead and the opener is sung by the “best-supporting” couple backed by a large dancing chorus, but before other interpretations surface, you can hear these originals here exactly as the creator intended them to sound. Tap your toes! Play it again. Sing along! Oh, and be sure to crank up the volume (this is belt-it-out “Broadway-bound” remember?).
It probably goes without saying for most of you responsive types who are receiving this note, but most assuredly: We will greatly value your input and feedback. Please be sure to include both of us (Hal@TheWriterWorks.com and Valerie@FearlessTheMusical.com) with any comments you may offer.
As Valerie continues to final-produce all 23 song and dance numbers, we are hopeful of having news to share about a first pilot-performance staging of FEARLESS! within the next 9-12 months (yes, it takes a little time to put together a quality venue, 150 quality people, thousands of pages of printed scores and scripts, and months of auditions and rehearsals). But we’ll be sure to keep you posted. We will, of course, also make sure you’re invited.
In the meantime, know that Valerie and I are thinking of you and are very appreciative of your ongoing support.
